The Relaxer #RX424
This tea will soften the muscles and the nervous system while gentling boosting a negative mood into a positive state. Good for the stuck liver chi and supporting the clearance of excess cortisol.
Not to be used with any mood disorder medications and or other medications as it can interfere with metabolizing them and exaggerating their effects. Some have an allergy to Mimosa tree.
Althea officinalis / Marshmallow
Cool / Moist
Nervines and sedatives are typically very bitter and dry. Marhsmallow is applied here to balance the dryness as stress and agitation can also be stemming from dried nervous tissue.
Albizzia julibrissin / Mimosa tree (bark)
Cool / Dry. A supremely calming option that not only cools the nervous system but cools inflammation through out. Cooling the HPA axis which can become hyperactive for those living in chronic states of stress. The action works as an antidepressant, anxiolytic, enhances immunological functions and can suppress the inflammatory cascade.
Scuttelaria
Cool / Dry. My favorite go to sleep tea, easy to hide in a formula and really gets the job done.
Hypericum
Cool / Dry. This guy is tooted about for helping depression however he is more likely to help clear cortisol and heal a wound than actually fix your depression. I added him here as some depression is due to being weighted down by the excess cortisol
Tillia cordata
Cool / Dry / Moistening. This love I cannot say enough about, she will soften some of the hottest temped states shifting the nervous system and pressure within.
Zingiber / Ginger
Hot / Dry. To modify and balance out all of the cooling herbs, ginger here will carry the herbs that want to sit and chill through your body and warm the regions that want to get too cool, keeping stagnancy from forming.
