Clinical Herbalist - Nicole Haring
Driven by compassion, creativity and knowledge.
My Approach
As a vitalist my goal is to support your body in finding optimal health. I work with you and alongside you listening to every nuance of your story. It is through these nuances, mannerisms, science and other subtle or obvious points where I listen and learn about you in order to discover the roots of your needs. The process is nothing short of me getting to know you in order to help you. As much as I can provide an herb for a symptom I prefer to not work in an allopathic manner unless working with a cold, flu, wound or like acute problem. When working with chronic or long standing symptoms it is the root we are seeking. The root is where we find your cure, the story is where we unearth the roots.
A little bit about me….
I am a mother, an artist, a teacher, a runner and so many more nouns and adjectives. Most importantly I believe I am moving along this path in order to use the compassion of being a mother, the creativity of being an artist, the wisdom of teaching, the strength of a runner to help others discover what brings them closer to a state of health and ease.

The when, how and why of my journey.
Educationally and time line wise: I began as an artist who was born and raised in Arizona. I went to a private art school in New York City in 2000-2004. I still paint, am a silversmith, create ceramics and a multitude of other media. I am a surrealist, truly believing that reality can often times be that which is most surreal. I will forever be an artist and am grateful that creativity stabilizes my backbone. It is because of my creative side that I am capable of being a strong clinical herbalist versus just a clinical herbalist. I was a school teacher for over a decade teaching at an array of educational facilities until administration hacked my grades and removed my F’s that had been earned by several students, I retired that year from teaching in the school system and became a full time yoga teacher. I am over 1,500 hours trained in different branches of yoga including but not limited to Hatha, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Therapy and more. I realized I was born to teach and help others find what they need to feel their best. I had just given birth to my third child when covid shut the world down including all of my jobs. I then began teaching privates out of my home throughout the pandemic when I was convinced to open my own studio. Holistic Hollow was born amongst chaos in the world and in my head, if it could survive covid perhaps it was meant to be. I decided I wanted to take my education and ability to help others to the next level and I began studying herbalism, like most herbalist through self teaching, exploration and books. Eventually, being self taught was not enough for me and so I officially trained 2 more years with Paul Bergner and Heather Luna. It was one of the most incredible educational experiences I have been fortunate enough to have. I was trained as a Vitalist, where I not only learned physiology, herbalism, biology, pattern recognition I learned how lifestyle, nutrition and the story hold the key to the cure. I have never looked back wondering if I made the right decision at any of those corners, each of these choices have formed who I am and how I work and they each offer tools for helping others and that I am proud of and honored to share.
